Hyderabad based VMC in the Top-20 list
of “Best Performing Mid-size Companies” in India

Inc. India, the newly launched publication
for India’s growth companies and a part of 9.9 media, has ranked
Vuppalamritha Magnetic Components (VMC) 20th in its iconic survey of 500
best performing mid-sized private companies in India. VMC is India’s
largest manufacturer of telecom and power-conversion equipment, and this
award is a reiteration of its leadership in the industry. The award was
presented at a formal ceremony organized by India Inc.
VMC, is a market leader in this segment with an annual revenue of Rs. 1250
crores. VMC’s product portfolio spans the entire gamut of telecom; from
latest technologies such as such as 3G, WiMAX and GPON, to the standard
Telecom and networking equipment ranging from customer premise equipment [CPE]
such as FWP and ADSL Modems, to access products like Media & Ethernet/E1
converters to core telecom products related to like STM based ADMs and
DWDMs [optical transmission equipment].

The Inc. India 500 is an annual list of the five hundred best performing
mid-sized private companies in India, introduced in 2009. Almost 3,000
companies across 35 sectors with net sales between Rs. 50 Crore and Rs.
1,500 Crore in the most recent year were shortlisted. After a thorough
analysis on various parameters as outlined in their report, the top 500
companies were chosen and ranked.
Vuppalamritha Magnetic Components Ltd. (VMC) is India’s largest
manufacturer of Telecom & Power-Conversion equipment. VMC commenced
operations in Hyderabad in 2002 and has been certified for ISO 9001:2000
compliance for its products and processes. In Oct 2008 Fidelity Capital
invested in the company. In a short span of 8 years, VMC has emerged as a
market leader in this segment with an annual revenue Rs. 1250 crores.
VMC’s Telecom business unit provides an array of specialized telecom
products and services to leading telecom companies and OEM customers. VMC
has till date an installed base of 15 Lakh telecom equipments. Customer
locations that exceed 300 in number, and technical support from 26
