ZEE INSTITUTE OF CREATIVE ARTS (ZICA) LAUNCHES IN HYDERABAD

ZICA is the first private institute that took up Classical and Digital Animation training when Animation as an Industry had initiated spreading its roots in India. ZICA’s first center was set up in Hyderabad on 14^th August 1995 by Mr. Subhash Chandra, Chairman of Essel Group. The institute had expert faculties from Soyutz Mult Films, Russia such as Vladimir Tarasov (Animation Faculty), Irina Saakian (Charter Animation) who provided the students of the institute with industry relevant curriculum. ZICA currently is set up in cities such as Mumbai, Bhubaneshwar, Pune, Lucknow and Chandigarh and plans to expand its verticals further.

The animation market has been defined as animation entertainment (US$ 120 million) and animation education (US$ 53 million) and the education market is projected to have maximum growth rate of about 40% per annum. It is estimated that around 3 Lakh skilled animators will be required in the industry by 2010 and the industry currently employs around 30,000 people.

• Certificate in Animation – 6 month
• Certificate in Gaming – 6 month
• Certificate in VFX – 6 month

All students of ZICA will get Free Smoke & Flame training from Zee Institute of Media Arts, Mumbai – India’s only Authorised Autodesk Training centre.

The ZICA centre at Panjagutta, Hyderabad is spread over an area of 6000 Sq ft. The institute provides students high end workstations, E-courseware, Well stocked Library, State of the art Labs with projection system etc for the benefit of the students.
