Hyderabad|India|February'2009: GMR Hyderabad International Airport Limited (GHIAL) conducted the lucky draw for the Airport Shopping Festival in the Airport Village today. This Shopping festival was held from 24th December, 2008 to 26th January, 2009, and over 30,000 entries were received.

Indian Test cricketer Dinesh Kartik, former badminton champion Pullela Gopichand were present at the function to pull out the names of the lucky winners.

Two lucky winners won a luxury Aveo UVA car each, and there were 100 other prize winners.

Mr.P.S.Nair, CEO, GHIAL who was present on the occasion, said that, “We are very happy that all the retailers in our airport came together and pooled in prizes to ensure that the shopping festival was a big success. Every patron who made a minimum purchase of Rs. 250 and above, from amongst the 59 food and beverage and retail outlets, were eligible for the lucky draw. Our airport offers some of the best domestic and international brands like KFC, McDonalds, Hard Rock Café, IIFA Bar, Nuance-Shoppers Stop, Plaza Premium etc, and over the last few months all the retailers have become a part of our extended family”.

Mr.A.Viswanath, Chief Commercial Officer, GHIAL, who was also present, said that, “We are overwhelmed by the response to this Shopping Festival, as we received over 30,000 coupons for the Lucky Draw. Besides providing our valuable airport patrons an unique shopping experience, such events also help in creating an awareness amongst them about the varied choices that are available to them in our airport. We will definitely be coming up more such events in the coming months”.
