Prayer Meeting held at KBR Park by Parkmates of A.S.C.Wesley

Hyderabad|India|September'2009: Parkmates of KBR Park, Hyderabad, joined together at 7 am on 10th September, 2009, to pay homage the Hon’ble Chief Minister of A.P., Dr. Y.S.Rajasekhara Reddy, Parkmate A.S.C.Wesley, Chief Security Officer to the CM, and Mr. P. Subramanyam, IAS, and pray for the departed souls who passed away in the tragic air accident on 2nd September, 2009. As a regular walker at the KBR Park, Wesley shared a special relation with his fellow Parkmates.

Mr. N.Kiran Kumar Reddy, Speaker of the A.P. Assembly, spoke about how Dr. Rajasekhara Reddy was a man with passion to serve for the poor and downtrodden, and how his untimely demise is a huge loss to the state.

Mr. Nagi Reddy, IAS, recollected the yeoman service rendered by Dr. Subramanyam to the State, and the qualities of humility and modesty that marked his personality. Mr. Nagi Reddy mentioned to the gathering that Dr.Subramanyam was instrumental in designing many of the welfare schemes that Dr. Rajasekhara Reddy’s government launched.

It was a tearful moment for the Parkmates when Mr. Rajasekhar, SP, Wesley’s batchmate in the police service spoke about Wesley. Wesley’s personality had many dimensions - humane in service, friendly with his mates, a doting husband and father, and a very devoted Christian, and Mr. Rajasekhar shared his association with Wesley and how each one of these dimensions made him special to each one who knew him.

The gathering then prayed in silence for a few moments and later prayed floral tributes to the departed.

Among the attendees were senior officers Mr. Jawahar Reddy, Mr. K.V.Reddy, senior police officers Mr. R.P.Singh, Mr. Hanumantha Rao, and Mr. Subba Rao amongst others.
