Astonfield Renewable Resources proposes 250 mw solar power project in AP

Mr. RAVI RAINA, PRESIDENT ASTONFIELD MANAGEMENT CONSULTANCY PVT. LTD CALLED ON K ROSAIAH, CHIEF MINISTER AT SECRETARIAT ON 10-11-2009.

Hyderabad|India|November'2009: The Astonfield Renewable Resources Ltd representatives called on Chief Minister K Rosaiah and proposed a 250 mw solar power project. They told the Chief Minister that the National Solar Mission to be announced on November 14th will provide Central support for solar power projects in the country. They said that Andhra Pradesh is well positioned to be a key State under the National Solar Mission and would become a solar hub. They also said that Andhra Pradesh has the potential to maintain Indian manufacturing leadership through solar energy.

They told the Chief Minister that with a solar power generation roadmap of 250 mw over 5 years, Astonfield can bring leading solar manufacturers to Andhra Pradesh making the State quickly a competitive manufacturing hub for domestic and export markets. The Chief Minister agreed to positively consider their proposals.
