Bambino launches
‘Instant Pasta’ first of its kind of product
manufactured by a technology which is only of its
kind in Asia

Hyderabad|India|December'2010: Bambino Agro Industries Ltd, a
Hyderabad based public limited company launches ‘Instant Pasta’, a
first of its kind of product manufactured by a technology which
again is first of its kind in Asia. The new Instant Pasta is
nationally launched here in Hyderabad.
Disclosing this addressing a press conference today Mr. P. Easwara
Das, Executive Director of Bambino Agro Industries Ltd said Instant
Pastta is a highly nutritious and protein rich product. It has more
fibre content. And is cooked just within 3 minutes and saves on fuel
usage. The product is ideal for all ages. The Pasta Sauce that comes
along with the product, makes the cooking process faster. A free
gift is also offered inside the packet to encourage trial of the
product, informed Mr. Easwara Das.
The product is already made available across the country. In the
very first year of the launch of the product, we expect to sell
Rs.10 Crores across India, said Mr. Easwara Das.
Bambino is the largest vermicelli producer in the world and is part
of the diversified Bambino Group having interests in FMCG Products.
Other group companies include the private limited companies Ghanta
Foods and Seshsayi Foods, he said.
Adding further Mr. Das states that the Bambino is an India’s
International brand, which completed 25 years in 2009. It achieved
rare distinction of being the world’s largest producer of
Vermicelli. Last year we chalked out diversification plans into
Functional Foods, Plans to double its turnover to Rs 500 crores in
next 5 years. Bambino has registered 100% growth in Sales in last 3
years. We became the first Indian company to exclusively supply
Pasta to the international chain of Dominos.
We are the major supplier of Vermicelli to Military CSD Canteens and
Defence Supplies to the tune of Rs 10 crores sales this year. We
have recently completed clinical trials on functional foods, which
we announced last year and we are ready to launch Functional Foods
soon, he stated.
Bambino has a 25 years of track record of manufacturing and
marketing of Vermicelli, Pasta, instant foods, Sweets / Namkeens
both nationally and internationally. Bambino means Vermicelli and
Vermicelli means Bambino. Bambino has truly become a generic name
for Vermicelli, which a true barometer for its success. Presently
Bambino has 74 products in different variants, shapes and sizes. Its
product range includes Pasta Products, Instant Foods, Soup Powders,
Spice Powders, Ready to Eat Sweets and Ready to Eat Snacks.
With the state of the art manufacturing facilities at Gurgaon near
Delhi, Bhandara near Nagpur and Bibinagar near Hyderabad, it’s a
true Indian homegrown international brand. It exports regularly to
USA, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Thailand, Japan, Europe and
parts of UAE. It has already become the largest producer of
Vermicelli in Asia and now probably in the world as well.
We expect to register a turnover of Rs 250 crores this year informed
Mr. Easwara Das.
The company off late has been focusing and promoting more of health
care products like Macaroni and Pasta, as they are made of 100%
durum wheat, which has nil cholesterol and just 1% fat content,
which also saves energy, because the total cooking time is only 3
minutes. Thus it offers tremendous energy to children because of the
protein content & energy. Elders get relief from cholesterol and
excess fat informed Mr. Easwara Das.
The company is looking into background integration and reaching the
farmer, who is the producer of the raw materials. It is also closely
working with agriculture universities to increase the farm
production of wheat per Acre, he said.
