Hyderabad|India|March'2011: A life saving project Oneness Online Blood Bank — www.onenesscare.org was inaugurated by Mr. Chukka Ramaiah here in city in a function held tat Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan. About 500 Oneness volunteers donated blood for the children of Thalassemia & Sickle Cell Society at the blood camp organised at Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, King Koti Road, Hyderabad today. www.onenesscare.org will provide a platform for the willing blood donors to get registered over the web and to be called when required.

Speaking on the occasion prior to the inauguration, Mr. Chukka Ramaiah said Technology is growing on leaps and bounds but humanity is deteriorating. Human race is not growing along with the growing technology. We lay greater emphasis on learning and embracing new technologies but we don’t recognize the importance of human values. The way we embrace technology we must embrace humanity and help develope society by helping the poor and deserved. The values are deteriorating he said. Be humane to soceityneeds and issues, added Mr. Chukka Ramaiah.

Every year India requires about 40 million units of blood out of which only a meager 5,00,000 units of blood is available. Hundred’s of people die due to lack of blood. All those aged between 18-65 years with a minimum weight of 50 kgs and willing to donate blood are invited to be a part of this life saving project. Those willing to donate blood are invited to register themselves online at www.onenesscare.org. You don’t have to be a doctor to save lives, just by donating blood one can give the gift of life said the organisers.

Apart from the inauguration of the ONENESS Online Blood Bank and Blood Donation camp, 500 registered local bodies of ‘Sri Amma Bhagavan Seva Samithi’ and official website for ONENESS Social Services - www.onenesscare.org & www.ammabhagavansevasamithi.org also took place. Several Guests and Dignitaries such as Sri R.V. Chandravadam, IAS, Project Director, AP AIDS Control Society; Sri Jayachandra Naidu, MLC, Chittoor Dist., A.P.; Sri Jalagam Venkatrao, Ex-MLA, Sathupalli, Khammam Dist., A.P. and others participated in the program.
