International Seminar on Facets of Buddhism in City

Hyderabad|India|September'2010:The newly established centre for Buddhist Studies at the central University of Hyderabad is organizing a three-day international seminar from September 25, 2010. This seminar is going to be the first of its kind partly because of the involvement of several top rated academicians and educationists as the members of its Advisory Board, which among others includes Arjun Asrani, I.F.S., Formerly Ambassador to Japan, Ashok Jain, President Mombusho Scholars Association of Japan, Jayesh Ranjan, IAS, Secretary, Tourism, Government of Andhra Pradesh in addition to the academicians from University of Hyderabad; and partly by the participation of the top rated Buddhist scholars from India and abroad.

Another noteworthy feature of the seminar is that Susann von der Heide, UNESCO chair Professor at Paris and currently the World Heritage Chair at Berlin-Cottsbus, Germany, shall be delivering the key-note address at the seminar. The seminar will be Inaugurated on 25 September 2010 at 10 am in Sir CV Raman Auditorium on the University campus at Gachibowli.
