Hyderabad|India|May'2009: Smt Bulbul Ghosh, IDAS, Controller General of Defence Accounts laying the foundation stone of Information Technology and Software Development Centre of Defence Accounts Department at the Pay Accounts Office (ORs), AOC complex in Secunderabad Cantonment on 14th May'09.


Controller General of Defence Accounts (CGDA), Smt Bulbul Ghosh, IDAS in her two-day official tour to twin cities visited Controller of Defence Accounts (CDA), Secunderabad and laid the foundation stone for the new office building of Information Technology and Software Development Centre (IT & SDC) of Defence Accounts Department (DAD) at the Pay Accounts Office (ORs), AOC complex in Secunderabad on 14th May'09.

Speaking on the occasion, CGDA had touched upon the various initiatives like New Pension Scheme, Information Technology and Single Window system of payments for advances etc., taken by the department in giving best services to the Armed Forces in the country.

Shri B Suresh Kumar, Chief Construction Engineer (R&D), Secunderabad who is the Executing Engineering authority of the Project gave the outline of the Project.

Earlier, Shri M Anjaneyulu, IDAS, Controller welcomed the gathering. In his address the CDA explained various achievements like conducting of All India Sports tournaments, Integrated Financial Advice to the Tri Services in general and CDA Secunderabad in particular. He also elaborated on the welfare activities like conducting of Health Camps by CDA, Secunderabad to their employees and families.

Shri Y Raja Reddy, IDAS, Additional Controller proposed vote of thanks. The function was well attended by senior officers from CCE (R&D), Army Units and Formations and Militay Engineering Services (MES) units apart from Defence Accouts Department in the twin cities.
