Nayak, Partner, iDiscoveri Education addressing the media.
iDisoveri is working towards bringing cutting-edge research insights
to improve the knowledge base of school leaders. The organization
has started work on educating parents on their role in school
education, and the forthcoming Child of Tomorrow is a significant
step in that direction
Focus group discussions organized with parents’ of children in the
age-group of 4-11 years in Hyderabad, highlighted that parents would
like to know their children better to prepare them for the future.
Bringing up a child in today’s time is a challenge and parents are
in the lookout for effective solutions for the same.
Speaking on the occasion Anustup Nayak said “In these competitive
times, when the scramble for marks is the hallmark of every
classroom, it is a challenge to bring up children. The pre-middle
school stage in particular assumes more significance, since children
start grasping the fundamentals of learning, which serve as a base
for the rest of their student life. More importantly, this is when
they begin to form their perception of success. Hence, at this
stage, it is important for every parent to discover the child’s true
potential and guide him/her accordingly.”
Child of Tomorrow is a unique workshop that has been designed to
give the parent first-hand account of the child’s strengths and
weaknesses. The workshop aims to go beyond the traditional ‘Progress
Report’ route and give a ‘Strength Report’ for the child that will
enable the parent to understand the child better so that he/she
could be moulded accordingly. The workshop will involve a series of
activities that has been designed to help one become the ideal
parent, and the child to become the ideal student. These activities
recognize the fact that all children are special in their own right,
and can be taught the learning techniques that suit their way of
learning. While parents will attend the discussions on good
parenting, children will experience the XSEED way of experiential
learning.
Child of Tomorrow will be a forum where iDiscoveri will leverage its
understanding of learning methods, vindicated by the enormous
success of XSEED, a proven learning tool used by over 400 schools
across India and now touches 130,000+ children and 12,000 teachers.
