Hyderabad|India|August'2009: Taj Krishna, a Taj luxury hotel, is
hosting Chinese Food Festival at Golden Dragon, a Szechwan and Cantonese
specialty restaurant, from August 14 to 24, 2009. In an endeavour to
bringing in different Chinese master chefs from various Taj Hotels and
showcase their style of Oriental cooking to the food aficionados of
Hyderabad, Golden Dragon is hosting this festival.
Chef Shi Yuan He (47) from Black Lotus, Taj Chandigarh has been especially
flown down to serve the Hyderabadis of his authentic Chinese specialties.
With a 22 years experience in hospitality industry in various parts of
South-East Asia including Shanghai, Beijing, Japan and Thailand, Chef Shi
Yuan He has been with Taj Chandigarh, since 2005. Chef Shi is fond of
wine, swimming and gardening.
Chinese cuisine originated from the various regions of China and has
become widespread in many other parts of the world. Regional cultural
differences vary greatly amongst the different regions of China, giving
rise to the different styles of food. There are eight main regional
cuisines in China and among the many cooking methods they use are boiling,
stewing, braising, frying, steaming, crisping, baking, and simmering and
so on. The facility to partake of food is also distinctive - chopsticks!
The festival is a-la-cart and is open from 12:30 pm — 2:45 pm for lunch
and 7:30 pm — 11:45 pm for dinner.
