Blend of Indian Classical and Western Contemporary Dance Performance comes to Hyderabad

Hyderabad|India|September'2011:The U.S. Consulate General and Prakriti Foundation hosted a dance recital by the Parijat Desai Dance Company in Hyderabad on September 14, 2011.

The dance company performiedin the city as part of The Park’s New Festival, which showcases the cutting edge in contemporary performing and visual arts, by artists from around the world.

The Parijat Desai Dance Company performed a blend of Indian classical and Western contemporary dance. Combining modern dance from the West with the theatricality of Indian dance, choreographer Parijat Desai communicates through movement across culture, nation and religion.

The festival has travelled to Chennai, Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai, Hyderabad and Bangalore.
