CM to inspect
all 100 days action plan completed works
Hyderabad|India|April'2011: The Chief
Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy today asked the
officials to complete all the balance works of
“100 Days Action Plan for Hyderabad City”
immediately and said that the works will be
inspected along with Ministers and Legislators
soon.
The Chief Minister Reviewed the “100 Days Action
Plan” with the officials concerned at the Camp
Office here today. He said that greater
coordination is needed between various departments
to provide better civic amenities to the citizens
in the areas of Greater Hyderabad Municipal
Corporation.

Babu, representatives of RTC, R&B etc explained
the achievements and progress of works in their
respective departments under the 100 days action
plan to the Chief Minister.
When the Chief Minister enquired about the Outer
Ring Road works and funding under the JICA loans
due to the recent earthquake in Japan, officials
explained that the funding is already well tied up
and said that the works are in full swing. The
Commissioner, GHMC explained that under the 100
days action plan, works costing Rs.110.54 crores
are already completed so far and this include CC
roads, BT roads, sidewalks, bus shelters etc.
Works are completed as far as 25 parks/medians and
refurbishments are concerned.Under the Outer Ring
Road Project, stretch from Pedda Amberpet to
Gachibowli is completed and opened for traffic
from 1st March 2011. The stretcdh from Narsingi to
Patancheru would be completed by 31st May 2011 and
the remaining works are under progress including
radial roads. Officials explained to the Chief
Minister that Hussainsagar Lake and Catchment area
improvement project are also under progress. The
Master Plan for extended area of HMDA are also
getting ready and will be notified for public
suggestions soon.
The CM was informed that the PVNR Expressway ramps
at Hyderguda, Aramgarh and Laxmingar are
completed. The R&B repairing works to damaged BT
surfaces from KM 524 to 535 on Pune-Hyderabad
section of NH 9 and Hyderabad-Vijayawada section
of NH 9 and Hyderabad- Bhoopalapatnam section of
NH 202 are under brisk progress. The road works
taken up under R&B has completed 25 kms so far.
Special repair works were completed for 68.63 kms
pertaining to 68 roads out of which 15 are already
completed and others are in progress. In APSRTC,
100 mini buses and 50 AC buses are being
introduced in Greater Hyderabad zone and
achievements are so far about 70 per cent. The
CPDPCL has taken up construction of 12 substations
of 33/11, augmentations of 29 power transformers,
interlinking of 33 KV lines, adding of 130
additional transformers, 309 single column RTC
structured plinth works for distribution
transformers. These works taken up costing Rs.205
crores includes construction of new sub stations
and underground cabling.
The CM was informed that APTRANSCO has taken up
updating of conductor with AL 59 to Madhapur,
enhancement of transformer capacity at Budlaguda,
enhancement of PTR capacity at Asifnagar,
construction of 132 KV Chintal SS etc. The Traffic
Police has taken up Traffic signal system, Road
signages, road infrastructure, traffic engineering
cell, traffic equipment, traffic education and new
equipment for traffic police etc and the works are
all being taken and will be completed in 8 months.
Power Network & Infrastructure Improvement costing
Rs.2500crs: MD, APCPDCL, M T Krishna Babu has
informed the Chief Minister that the AP Transco is
executing Power Network and Infrastructure
improvement programme with JICA assistance costing
Rs.2,500 crs. in the GHMC area. Work is going on
at brisk pace and will be completed by 31st March,
2012. This will provide long-term benefit for the
power consumers in the GHMC area.
