~Ista launches ‘Coastal Cuisine Food Festival ~

~ Taste exotic delicacies from “Malvani, Malabari, Mangalorean and Goan” Cuisines ~

Hyderabad|India|March'2011: Ista Hyderabad is hosting ‘Coastal Cuisine Food Festival’- that celebrates rich cuisines from India’s Coastal region, at its Indian specialty restaurant, ‘Deori’. The festival is on from 24th March till 3rd April, 2011 between 7 ­pm to 10.30 pm. This Food Festival offers select lip smacking vegetarian and non-vegetarian delicacies form Western Coastal belt of India which stretches from Maharashtra’s “Malvani” to Kerala’s “Malabari”, including “Goan” and “Mangalorean” culinary delights. These cuisines will be especially prepared in Deori’s Kitchen by Ista Hotel’s Executive Chef Gautam Chaudhry. 

The food menu of Coastal Cuisine Food Festival includes “Kane Bezule” -- whole ladyfish seasoned with finely ground mangalorean masala and pan cooked, “Meen Roast” a Calicut specialty, “Mussels Karwari”, “Crab Xacuti” from Goa and fish curries cooked in several authentic variations from Western Ghats of India. Some of the other popular Coastal Cuisines that will also be served at Coastal Cuisine Food Festival are:

Ø            Malabar fish Curry, Prawn Balchao, Bombil Fry, Konkan chili fish, Kori Gassi, Kurle Ambat done with fresh crabs.

Ø            Coastal Vegetarian cuisine includes, Pathrode, Dali thoy, Kokam Kadi, Kadgi Sushal, doce Bhaji.

Ø            Coastal Dessert’s platter will include Gardudde paays (Bottle gourd dessert),  Dodol, Bibinka. 

Commenting on the fest, Mr. Jaideep Anand, General Manager, Ista Hyderabad, said, “Our guests from twin cities have always welcomed rich traditional and authentic cuisine with open arms during the food festivals that we have organized at Ista. Through Coastal Cuisine Food Festival we have now attempted to bring our hotel guests and regular food patrons visiting us from twin cities a varied choice of food palette from the western ghats of India.”  

Deori, the Indian specialty restaurant of Ista Hyderabad, is decked up with the perfect ambience to host the Coastal Cuisine Food Festival. To raise the level of the guests experience, Coastal music from all the cuisine’s native regions that will be played during the food festival hours.  

‘Coastal Cuisine Food Festival is priced attractively and the buffet offers a wide-range spread of Vegetarian & Nov-vegetarian dishes and desserts.
