India’s largest Exhibition on Construction Machinery, Materials & Projects ‘Constro 2009’ to be held in December

Hyderabad|India|September'2009:India ’s largest international exhibition on construction machinery, materials, methods and projects Constro 2009 (www.constroindia.org) will be held in December this year. Addressing a press meet in city Mr. Naren Kothari, Hon. Secretary and Ms. Mrinalini Same, Executive Committee Member of Pune Construction Engineering Research Foundation (P.C.E.R.F), organizers of Constro 2009 informed that ‘Constro 2009’, which is the 11th in the series will lay major thrust on “Go Green” concept, highlighting intangible benefits of “Green Homes” and Green Surroundings”, “Energy Conservation” and adoption of traditional methods while designing of homes, in the wake of global warming and increase in natural and man made disasters. Organized by the Pune Construction Engineering Research Foundation (P.C.E.R.F), the exhibition will be held from December 2 to 6, 2009 at Pune.

Ms. Sane said that the exhibition would provide a good platform for entrepreneurs in Andhra Pradesh to take their products and services relating to the construction industry to the global level. Elaborating on the main challenges before the building and construction industry, Mr. Kothari said that, the exhibition will also try to drive home awareness among the users on availability of green building materials and service providers by using materials available in our surrounding areas.

He, informed that the exhibition would also lay major thrust on construction of eco friendly buildings. This will range from acquainting the people involved in the construction and building industry from taking necessary care and precaution for disposal of debris dug out for laying foundation of the buildings to how to recycle the material.

We would bring out literature to acquaint those involved in the field to enhance their knowledge on the fast emerging ‘eco-friendly construction and building concept the world over”, he added.

As part of the major campaign for promotion of the exhibition, the organizers will also be launching various competitions and award prizes to those coming up with best ideas and concepts for Constro entrance, Ms Sane added.

Mr. Kothari pointed out that following the overwhelming response for ‘Constro2007’ from China , Germany and Italy , they expect better response for “Constro 2009”. PCERF has also appointed Marketing Representatives at China and Germany , so they expect better response from these countries this time, he said.

He added that PCERF have received official recognition from Messe Munchen organizers of BAU 2009, Europe ’s most important Trade Show for Architecture, Materials and Systems

“Constro 2007” exhibition was attended by over 25,000 participants from the building and construction field and over 2 lakh visitors walked in to witness the exhibition.
