Hyderabad|India|October'2010: The U.S. Consulate General, Hyderabad in association with North East Students’ Forum and University of Hyderabad present a musical concert ‘Heralding Hope: A Peace Concert’ on October 9, 2010 at the Open Dais, University of Hyderabad from 6:30 p.m. onwards.


The concert coincides with the Daniel Pearl World Music Day. The Daniel Pearl World Music Days are held across the globe by the Daniel Pearl Foundation, formed after the brutal murder of Wall Street Journal’s American journalist and accomplished musician, Daniel Pearl in 2002. Since inception, Daniel Pearl World Music Days have grown to include the participation of more than 4,900 performances across 102 countries.


All genres of music performed by both amateurs and professionals will be a part of the concert. However, the main attraction of the event will be the new genre of fusion music from North-East India.
