Management and Research Institute(EMRI) would like to recognize individuals and
organizations that have significantly contributed to emergency management

Institute (EMRI) a non profit organization was established in April, 2005.
Government of Andhra Pradesh recognized EMRI as the nodal agency to provide
emergency response services in Public Private Partnership. EMRI has been
providing comprehensive emergency response services covering Medical, Police and
Fire services since August, 2005 effectively and efficiently in the state of
Andhra Pradesh. Its Values (Involving People, Applying Knowledge and Making
Things Happen), management concepts and partnerships (with Government,
Hospitals, and international agencies) have been helpful to focus and deliver an
autonomous and professional emergency response system that has received praise
from international experts. Satyam Computer Services Ltd., (Satyam) has been
EMRI’s Integrated Solutions Provider and Technology Partner. Satyam has
developed software and integrated solutions from multiple vendors and provided
technology expertise to EMRI.
Today, the ‘108’ service is available in 8
eight states, viz. Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat,
Uttarakhand, Karnataka, Goa, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu,
Assam covering 366 Million population. EMRI’s
vision is:
Through a toll-free ‘108’ telephone number, accessible from fixed and
mobile phones, so far has responded to more than 2.4 million emergencies,
with 1287 ambulances.
“Recognizing our own colleagues for the wonderful, pioneering work they
have done in this critical area, which often goes unnoticed, is vital and
motivates others”, said EMRI CEO, Mr. Venkat CHANGAVALLI.

conference 2009 will be held from February 5th to 7th
2009. Awards in the following categories will be distributed on 6th
February:

4. Technology Innovation Award
5. Innovation Award
6. Partners in Preparedness Award
7. Selfless Heroism in Emergency (SHE) Award
Nominations should be received by EMRI on or before November 30, 2008.
