Hyderabad|India|January'2010: The Hyderabad Zonal Selection rounds for Gatorade Pacers 2010, the nationwide talent hunt to help Indian Cricket find its next fast bowling sensation, is going to be held on 31st of January 2010 at The Hyderabad Cricket Association Ground, Secunderabad and the trials will start at 7 AM. Participants can register on the spot at the venue but they are suggested to pre-register at www.gatorade.co.in to avoid last minute rush.

The panel of selectors includes Mr. Abhijeet Chaterjee, Mr. Noel David and Mr. Chetan Joshi. They will screen the participants and will judge their potential, bowling skills and stamina. They would look for a sensational fast bowler.

Gatorade Pacers 2010 was launched in Mumbai on December 15th, 2009 in the presence of India’s pace bowling legend Manoj Prabhakar. The selections will take place in 6 cities through out the country in the presence of various pacers, coaches & respective State Cricket Associations

Gatorade, World’s No. 1 Sports Drink has been successfully conducting this annual talent hunt since 2007 to help Indian Cricket find its next fast bowling sensation. Of the 22 national winners so far, 12 are already parts of prestigious teams like State Ranji teams or IPL probables.

The selection process of this fourth edition of Gatorade Pacers involves assessing bowling speed with a speed gun together with expert evaluation of action, accuracy, fitness and potential of the bowler.

Winners of Under -15, Under-19 and Under- 22 from each zonal competition will be selected and provided with a structured training-cum-selection session to be conducted by India’s leading fast bowler Manoj Prabhakar. The national winners of the hunt will receive once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to be groomed by Mr. Manoj Prabhakar through structured training programs and their progress will be regularly monitored over a period of three years.
