Corporate Badminton Tournament - ‘Let’s Shuttle’, begins at Pullela Gopichand Academy

Hyderabad|India|September'2010: The three-day Corporate Badminton Tournament - Let’s Shuttle was formally inaugurated by former All England Champion and iconic badminton coach, Pullela Gopichand at Pullela Gopichand Nimmagadda Foundation Badminton Academy, today. Let’s Shuttle is being organised to raise funds to upgrade infrastructure and train badminton champions for the country. The Tournament is supported by industry organizations like TiE, CII and ITsAP and the idea and marketing is by an innovative start up firm ‘XL Consulting’.

As part of the tournament, ‘Talent Search’ & the first round of ‘Corporate Matches’ were hosted today. Over 150 corporate executives are taking part in this inaugural tournament in the ‘Corporate Matches’. In the ‘Talent Search’ segment around 150 kids in the age group of 7-10 yrs., from all over the state, participated today. Another 200 kids are expected to take part tomorrow. The deserving ones amongst these kids will be handpicked for further training at the Academy.

On the second day, tomorrow ‘Talent Search’ & the second round of ‘Corporate Matches’ will be conducted. On the final day on September 19th, Corporate Matches Finale for 1st, 2nd & 3rd place playoffs; Celebrity Exhibition Matches - "Sound Off", followed by Prize Distribution ceremony will be organised.
