Hyderabad|India| Hyundai Motor India Ltd, India's largest passenger car exporter and the second largest car manufacturer, has announced that the special scheme for the state and central government and PSU employees which was launched during the month of October 2008, has been extended till December 2008 looking at the huge success of the scheme. This scheme is in addition to the special schemes already prevailing for its customers.

The Government employees scheme is even more value added as the discounts offered under the special scheme which was recently announced have increased. Under the scheme, there are special pricing, attractive finance options, etc to enable the government employees to own a Hyundai car. And this is in addition to the full benefit of the reduction of 4% in Excise duty which has also been passed on to the customers.

This scheme is applicable on the entire product range of Hyundai products and there are attractive exchange and loyalty schemes as well. Government employees can avail the exchange benefits up to Rs. 20,000 on all the above cars. Hyundai has tie-ups with State Bank of India, Axis Bank and HDFC Bank to provide with attractive finance schemes for the government employees for their vehicle purchase. The promotional activities and State Bank of India's active participation proved vital for the scheme's success.
