Hyderabad|India|May'2012: Have you thought about how a life in
another place can look like? How a year, an hour, a day in another context
can appear? So, here is your chance to showcase your imaginations and win
a trip to Norway.
An Indo-Norwegian Fictional Writing Competition “In Your Shoes” gives a
unique opportunity to people across India and Norway to pen down their
thoughts and imagination about a life in another place. The mutual writing
competition between the two countries gives a chance to write your self
into another situation, empathise with everyday life of another.

The texts will also be used in relation to a research project at the
University of Oslo. The theme of the project is the perceptions of the
Other.
The winning entry will get a trip to Norway. But others need not worry.
The best entries will be published in an anthology and presented in
English, Hindi and Norwegian.
In your shoes is organised by University of Oslo, Bokvennen Literary
Magazine and Pratilipi Bilingual Literary Journal. Presenting partners are
NORLA (Norwegian Literature abroad), Ny Tid Weekly News Magazine and
Norwegian Translation Association in Norway; Sahitya Academy, The Caravan
and Sangam House in India.
