healthy by Chefs from Ista ~

Hyderabad|India|April'2011: Ista Hyderabad is
organizing ‘Street Food Festival’ which celebrates
the diversity of mouth watering street picks from
the regions of India, showing ‘Unity in
Diversity’, at its Indian specialty restaurant, ‘Deori’.
Food festival will go on till 1st May, between 7
pm to 10.30 pm. The savories have been especially
handpicked, prepared and presented by the expert
chefs of the Hotel under the guidance of Ista
Hotel’s Executive Chef Gautam Chaudhry.
The special menu of Street Food Festival will
include an unusual mix of culinary experience
where food enthusiasts can pick delicacies of
their choice may it be Chuski or Chat Bhandaar
from Delhi or mouth melting kababs from Awadh.
Farsaan of Gujrati cuisine has not taken a back
seat, nor has Wada-Pao from Maharashtra or Chicken
Cafreal from Goa. Dosa’s from different regions of
Southern India has its own space with Biryani from
Nizams city taking the centre stage. The taste and
flavor of the food will surely bring back some
memory of their past in the upcountry visits or
stays to some , while everyone can rest assured
that these have been prepared in the most
hygienically, unlike in most cases of street food.
Commenting on the fest, Mr. Jaideep Anand, General
Manager, Ista Hyderabad, said, “In our endeavor to
give guests, different palettes of taste and feel
of Indian food, this time we have organized the
festival around the variety of street food
specialties of India. Response from food
enthusiasts of the twin city so far has been
encouraging. Our guests have appreciated us for
bringing to them these flavors in undiluted form
using the hygienic preparation and presentation
methods.”
Explaining more about conceptualizing the food
festival Executive Chef Gautam Chaudhry, said
“With the sudden growth of American fast food
joints across the subcontinent, churning out their
monotone fare of burgers and French fries and run
of the mill coffees, the gourmet street food and
Dhabas of India are losing significance at a very
fast pace. Hence, in an attempt to revive the lost
cuisine of streets, Ista Hyderabad takes pride in
showcasing the road-side delicacies in a very neat
& tidy atmosphere.”
Deori, the Indian specialty restaurant at Ista
Hyderabad, has been suitably done up with a
country look that perfectly gives the feel of
hustling bustling street coming alive with parrot
fortune card readers and kite makers helping to
create the ambience at the restuarant.
‘Street Food Festival’ is priced attractively as
the buffet offers an interesting mix of food
counters serving Vegetarian & Nov-vegetarian main
course dishes. Guests can start from their choice
of guzzling welcome drinks, followed by tangy
rustic appetizers and culminate their experience
by lip smacking street style desserts.
