Jain Academy for Sporting
Excellence to be inaugurated in City
Hyderabad|India|January'2010: With a
vision for sports and nurturing young talent the Jain Heritage a Cambridge
School is setting up a professionally managed Academy for Sporting
Excellence on International lines. to be inaugurated by Dronacharya
Awardee Pullela Gopichand and International Badminton Sensation Saina
Nehwal on 28 January 2010 at Kondapur the academy promises to churn out
champion sportsperson of its own for the twin cities.
On the occasion Mr. R. Chenraj Jain, Chairman, Jain Group of Institutions
said Personally I wouldn't like to take much credit for the success of
the meet, but what gave me immense satisfaction was the fact that the
facilities we had were put to optimum use by the youngsters."
In campus we have created basketball, volleyball, Cricket practice
pitches, besides tennis courts and a football ground. To add to these are
a host of indoor facilities for Table tennis, Aerobics, Taekwando, Yoga,
Carrom and Chess.
JASE is envisioned to be run by professionals who know their job and who
were champions in their own right such as Archana Vishwanath, Director,
who was a former international table tennis player. It has a set of top
coaches including visiting pros like Enrico Piperno (tennis) and S.
Pradeep Kumar (swimming). Jain also aims to give an international flavour
by tying up with sports academies in Singapore and Australia.
If an Olympic gold in 2012 is a long-term goal, the short-term target for
JASE is to produce 50 players of national caliber in individual sports.
