Jalimudi
in Andhra Pradesh is the First Village in the World to get Water from Air
Hyderabad|India|February'2009:
WaterMaker (India) Pvt Limited, the Licensee of Air Water
Corporation, USA, has announced February 17th 2009 as the official launch
date for the Air Water / WaterMaker Water Station at Jalimudi village,
East Godavai dist., Andhra Pradesh, India. The Water Station will be
inaugurated in the presence of the Hon. Sri Chitturi Ravindra, MLA,
Burugupudi and senior government officials.
Jalimudi will be the world’s
first village to have a sustained supply of safe,
clean drinking water derived from the humidity in
the air, thanks to modern day technology.
The patented technology uses refrigeration techniques to
condense water from the air. The equipment has UN classification under UN
Code 181100. The air to water machines complete nature's distillation
process by capturing water vapor before it touches the earth. They provide
a localized source of pure drinking water and do not require an external
water source, pipes or catch basins. All they require is electricity or
alternate power sources to condense, collect, filter and dispense crystal
clear potable water. The system comprises the water plant, filtration
panel, holding tank and dispenser.
Michael Zwebner, President of Air Water Corp
stated: "We are making history. This project is
now real and the local inhabitants of Jalimudi have immediate and constant
access to clean, clear and pure water 24/7.”
This Atmospheric Water Station will be the first of many
as the word gets out and around of the amazing technology and its factual
application to real use. The unique water making machines will now sustain
the lives of the locals, and provide a real solution for the water needs
of the local inhabitants.
“Interest is high, and requests for information
about the project and how it can be duplicated or adapted in other areas
of the world, are coming to us on an ever increasing basis."
says Meher Bhandara, Director, WaterMaker
India.
