American Jazz Group Captivates Hyderabad Audience

Hyderabad|India|October'2011: The U.S. Consulate General and
the Andhra Pradesh Tourism Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh
organized an evening of American jazz music at Mountain Heights
Shilparamam.
Paul Beaudry & Pathways are performing in India as part of Rhythm Road:
American Music Abroad, a program sponsored by the U.S. State Department’s
Bureau of Educational & Cultural Affairs and Jazz at Lincoln Center.
Before arriving in India, the group has performed in Kazakhstan,
Kyrgyzstan and Bangladesh. In India they are performing in Kolkata,
Bangalore and New Delhi.
The New York City-based jazz group was selected from a pool of more than
100 applicants to travel abroad and encourage mutual respect and
understanding under the banner of the U.S. State Department. International
tour activities will include public concerts, master classes,
lecture-demonstrations, workshops, jam sessions and collaborations with
local musicians. Since 2005, 150 musicians from 39 ensembles have toured
with the program, visiting over 100 countries on five continents.
Paul Beaudry & Pathways is deeply rooted in the jazz and blues traditions.
Founded in 2008, Paul Beaudry & Pathways balances original compositions
and arrangements with selected standards from jazz’s broad stylistic
range. The group’s music is captivating and engaging, featuring exciting
rhythms and swinging, soul-stirring melodies.
