New E-mail Contact for Non-Immigrant US Visa Applicants

Hyderabad|India|February'2011: The Consular Section at the U.S. Consulate General Hyderabad will no longer respond to emails sent to HydNIV@state.gov by nonimmigrant visa applicants and general public.

All applicants can now send their email inquiries about nonimmigrant visas and any case specific inquiries about visas to VFS at infoushyderabad@vfshelpline.com. All applicants who need emergency visa appointments can send their email requests directly to the Consular Section at HydCEA@state.gov.

The U.S. Consulate General in Hyderabad also has a new helpline for all phone inquiries regarding nonimmigrant visas to the U.S.

For all the nonimmigrant visa inquiries, please call the VFS Helpline at 0120 – 6611411 (+91-120-6611411 if you are calling internationally). The VFS Helpline will be available from 8:00 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, excluding Consulate General holidays.

“The change will provide improved customer service to nonimmigrant visa applicants as they will greatly benefit from a multi-lingual helpline and increased phone hours,” said Michael Yoder, Consular Chief, U.S. Consulate General Hyderabad.
