Hyderabad|India|August'2011: LG Electronics India, a leading home appliances company in the country, successfully orgainsed the third round of Mallika-e-Kitchen Cooking Contest 2011 at Hotel Chillies, Opposite Saroornagar, Indoor Stadium, Hayathnagar Road, LB Nagar, Hyderabad. Around 100 contestants from Hyderabad participated in the third round of the contest.

The participants brought their microwave cooked dishes along with the recipes which were scrutinized, on predefined parameters, by the panel of judges. Mrs. B. Sreedevi and Mrs. S. Latha are the winner from Hyderabad have qualified for the next stage, which will happen in August. There will be a total of 4000 contestants participating in the local rounds. Winners were gratified through Chief Guests Mrs. E. Dhanalaxmi, Corporator of 17th ward, P&T colony and Mrs. Sesha Kumari, President of Bhavani Mahila Mandali, Hyderabad.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Rajiv Jain, Business Head, Home Appliances, LG Electronics India said, “I am delighted to be a part of the Mallika-E-Kitchen contest. The response in Hyderabad has been tremendous. Mallika-e-Kitchen is an endeavor to showcase LG’s commitment towards the Indian consumer by promoting the spirit of healthy cooking. Through this contest we would be able to establish ourselves as the masters of Indian kitchens & cuisines and emerge as pioneers in the field of healthy cooking. Mallika-E-Kitchen is a three stage cooking contest which will be organised nationwide over a period of three months. This year, the contest will take place in around 100 cities, commencing from 3rd July and will conclude in September. It will offer a unique opportunity to the women across the country to exhibit their talent and get a chance to demonstrate their culinary skills at a national level.
