India

initiative offers users free access to the latest Bollywood and
Hollywood movies in popular theatres in various cities even before they

networking site MySpace.com announces the launch of its Black Curtain
Screening, an exclusive movie screening programme for MySpace users in
India.
The initiative offers MySpace users across India free access to the latest
Bollywood, Hollywood and new world movies prior to their public release.
The newly launched initiative gives users an entirely new experience and
the opportunity to enjoy the most anticipated movies before anyone else.
Commenting on the launch in a release issued in city Mr. Hari Krishnan,
MySpace India’s country manager says, "India has a rich history and a
vibrant movie industry and we believe that Black Curtain Screenings will
not only engage and excite users but also provide a powerful platform for
Studios to effectively promote their films."
Black Curtain Screenings benefit not only MySpace users but many producers
and film makers have successfully used this platform as a tool to engage
with their audience, showcase exclusive content and gauge valuable
feedback from the MySpace community.
"This platform is aimed at enhancing brand and user engagement, and
provides a highly effective marketing method for movie distributors," says
Tarun Tripathi, Director Marketing at MySpace India. "The MySpace India

The first Black Curtain Screening in India will begin with the much hyped
Slumdog Millionaire, which will be screened exclusively for MySpace users
at the Fame Theatre in Mumbai on Friday, January 23, 2009. Along with the
debut viewing of the movie, users will be able to participate in
innovative entertainment surprises such as interactive games, photo
opportunities and celebrity meet-and-greets.
Following this exciting launch, MySpace will be hosting a series of
screenings showcasing the most anticipated Bollywood, Hollywood and new
world movies prior to their commercial release across India. MySpace India
anticipates collaborating with other movie studios, as with Fox Star
Studios on this occasion to continue to roll out one of the country’s most
exciting entertainment marketing programs for users and movie lovers.
