International experts from Jordan, Germany, Italy & India to
participate in Pipe-Tech seminar in city
Hyderabad|India|June'2010: A full day International Seminar on
‘Pipe-Tech’ to upgrade distribution of Water, Gas, Oil and Sewage System
by Plastic Pipes is to be held in city on Monday, 7th June. The Seminar is
jointly organised by All India Plastics Manufacturers’ Association (AIPMA),
Mumbai and A.P. Plastics Manufacturers Association (APPMA), Hyderabad.
AIPMA is the oldest and the largest apex body in the plastic industry in
India.
Disclosing this in a press note issued in city today Mr. Amrit S. Patel,
President - Andhra Pradesh Plastics Manufactures Association (APPMA) said
that the seminar will be held at Hotel Marriott, Lower Tankbund Road,
Hyderabad from 9am to 5pm.
The demand for proper distribution of water, gas and oil are increasing
every day and needs to be upgraded with this growing demand. The pipe
technology is also being upgraded from age old mud pipes, to cement, Ac,
and PVC and high-tech plastics pipes. The upgradation should aim at
reducing wastage, ease of installation, less expensive maintenance, low
cost of repair, corrosion free and above all ease of handling. The
efficient disposable of waste and sewage water demands also indicate the
requirement of high technology pipe system.
Today with micro irrigation and drip irrigation the wastage is much
reduced but is
restricted to certain fields like horticulture, vegetables, and row crops.
This has to be adopted to other crops also.
Water is a scarce commodity as most of the water available on this planet
is saline being ocean water and real potable water is 3% and of this only
30% is ground water which can be used for human consumption, agriculture
and other applications. Thus there is every reason to conserve this.
Today we have been talking of supply of gas through pipelines for domestic
use. This will ensure continuous supply, effective metering reducing
wastage. For this high tech pipe system is required. This is being done in
developed countries.
The other thrust area is sewage, waste and rain water disposal as the open
nala system has to be replaced by the pipeline system and this would
facilitate reduction of storm damage and an effective piping system would
ensure the elimination of clogging and consequent obstruction to flow.
It would be very useful for delegates from municipal administration, urban
development, metropolitan water supply and sewage development, irrigation
department besides the engineers and entrepreneurs from the plastics
fraternity. We welcome people to take advantage of this great opportunity
being provided at Hyderabad by All India Plastics Manufacturers
Association, said Mr. V. Anil Reddy, Managing Committee Member of All
India Plastics Manufacturers Association. About 125 people are expected to
participate in the Seminar.
The international seminar provides an opportunity to share the latest
knowledge and methods adopted abroad for an efficient distribution system
with proper hi-tech piping technology. International experts from Jordan,
Germany, Italy and India will share their experience and expertise in this
field and expose the participants to the latest techniques including pipe
jointing techniques.
It is a free seminar. There is no fee for the same. However, those who are
interested in participating, needs to reserve seat with prior information
on phone: 040 - 23203191.
After the Seminar, a Road Show and launch will be held in the evening at
same venue at 7:30 pm on 8th Plastivision India 2011. Plastivision India
2011 - the International Plastic Exhibition and Conference is to be held
in Mumbai from 20th to 24th January 2011. Details about the forthcoming
event will be provided and a short promotional film will be screened to
create awareness about the event, informed Mr. V. Anil Reddy, Managing
Committee Member of All India Plastics Manufacturers Association.
Plastivision India is a perfect platform for all small, medium and big
players of the industry to explore new avenues of trade. Exposure on the
state of the art technology, support and know how a few of the highlights
of the mega event.
