Placements at the University of Hyderabad
Hyderabad|India|April'2011: It was a joyful
occasion for the MBA students of the University of
Hyderabad when the Reserve Bank of India (RBI)
recruited three of them during the campus
placements at a record remuneration of Rs: 11
lakhs each per annum. This is the highest package
offered by any company/organization to MBA
students of the UoH. RBI had recruited 22 students
from different universities all over India and
three of them are from the UoH.
In addition to RBI,
Companies/Organizations/Institutes/Banks of repute
such as the HSBC Banking Corporation, Tata
Consultancy Services, Computer Associates, State
Bank of Hyderabad, JP Morgan Chase, Hello Soft,
TIME, ADP India Ltd., Cognizant, DuPont,
Transgraph, DST Worldwide Services, IBM, Commvault,
Honeywell, CMC, Tata Motors, Dolcera, Orient
BlackSwan, Abhyasa Residential Public School, Sri
Chaitanya Techno Schools/Colleges, Velammal School
(a well-known academic institution in Chennai),
Union Bank, FIITJEE, Deloitte, SBH, Andhra Bank,
Oracle, Cocubes, Amazon, Pearson Education,
Intergraph, Dr. Reddy’s Labs., Oneconvergence,
MphasiS, National Payments Corporation Ltd.,
Canara Bank, Indian Bank, Deloitte, Pearson
Education, Viva Books, Infosys technologies,
PerkinElmer, to name a few, visited the campus and
recruited students from various disciplines like
computers, humanities, economics, mathematics,
statistics, physics, chemistry, life sciences,
communications etc. with an annual package ranging
from Rs. 3.00 lakhs – 7.00 lakhs each.
Companies/Organizations like TVS Motors,
AstraZeneca, Advinus Therapeutics, etc. are in the
process of fixing the dates for campus placements
in the month of May 2011 after the final
examinations. Many off-campus placements have also
taken place. This year the placements have been
better compared to the previous year with 95% of
the computer sciences students being placed
already. Placements for MBA students are still on
at the university.
Placement Guidance and Advisory Bureau (PGAB) at
the University of Hyderabad has been coordinating
the placements for students of the University. The
collective effort of Schools/Departments faculty
placement coordinators and student coordinators
has played a vital role in ensuring placements of
students from their respective
Schools/Departments/Centres.
