Training in Public Speaking
targetting politicians announced
Politics needs Good
Public Speakers/Orators
Hyderabad|India|February'2009:
Today’s politicians need money and public speaking skills besides other
things. While all of us do not have money, but, everyone of us can speak
well. But, is your public speaking skill is attractive enough. Media
Junction, a city based specialist training centre in Public Speaking
announced 64th batch on Effective Public Speaking targetting at
Politicians. Those politicians who quickly want to hone their public
speaking skills, especially new politicians, first time contenders need to
brush thier skills to attract audience. Because this elections is going to
witness more competition as more parties and their candidates are going to
give a tough fight.
The political scenario in the sate with so many political parties such as
Indian National Congress, Bharatiya Janata Party, Samajvadi Party,
Communist Party of India, Communist Party of India (Marxist), Rashtriya
Janata Dal, Bahujan Samaj Party and many regional and registered parties
is more hot than ever before.
In 1950-51 there were 17 national parties, which increased to 700
,including national and state, and was brought down to around 500 in
2001-02 .The number came down from 700 to 500 because 200 of them were
found to be non-functional. Today the number of political parties stand at
910. With the impending general elections in the country slated to be held
in 2009 it is going to be a tough competition between these parties. Of
all public communications of all kind, speech is considered the most
effective arnesal! Speeches have influenced mankind at all crossroads
throughout history. And the time has come again for marathon speeches.
Along with the growing number of parties, record number of candidates are
expected to plunge into coming elections. On a conservative estimate it is
found that about 10,860 candidates are supposed to contest in the coming
election.
State politics has a handful orators. Looking at the magnitude of the
coming elections good speakers are in great demand, but in short supply.
Given the challenges of campaigning, such as time constraints and large
number of voters to be reached and more areas to be covered, many
political parties, contesting candidates obviously look for powerful
speakers who can mesmerise voters. It is they who sway large audiences and
persuade them to vote.
Effective Public Speaking is one of the available tools to reach more
potential voters. An effective speech will be a sure mantra for success
besides lot of money required to win. All politicians know about it.
Hence, there is a huge opportunity for effective public speaking training,
feels D. Ramchandram of Solus Media, a Public Relations professional from
Hyderabad. Besides being a media and public relations consultant
D.Ramchandram has been running workshop of Public Speaking for general
public as well as politicians and has over fifty Public Speaking training
programmes to his credit. Catering to this need is Media Junction, a
Hyderabad based centre for education beyond school, college curriculum has
been conducting Workshops on Effective Public Speaking for the past
several years. The latest batch is scheduled to begin at Hyderabad from
26th February from 6pm to 9pm and would conclude on 1st March. For more
