Rajiv Swagruha Housing for middle class people at affordable costs
Hyderabad|India|October'2009: The Chief Minister K Rosaiah has
asked the Rajiv Swagruha Corporation to reduce prices of the houses as far
as possible so that it would become more affordable to common man. He said
Rajiv Swagruha Housing for middle class people at affordable costs, which
in any case should be at least 25 per cent less than the market rates. He
said that construction of apartments without cellars and limiting it to
just 5 floors could cut down the costs. He wanted the Corporation to see
that top quality should be maintained and the houses and flats should be
made attractive to the common man. He assured that the government would
provide all assistance to the Corporation in this regard.
The Chief Minister was happy that the Rajiv Swagruha Corporation could get
Rs.750 crores HUDCO loans and also Rs.1250 crores from the SBI and SBH for
its housing schemes. The Chief Minister held a detailed review meeting on
the Rajiv Swagruha Housing with minister and officials at Secretariat. The
Chief Minister also asked the Finance, Housing and other departments
concerned to help the Corporation to enable it to refund the deposits of
the Applicants who wanted to withdraw from the scheme.
The Rajiv Swagruha Corporation along with Senior Citizens Housing may also
take up housing schemes for disabled. The Rajiv Swagruha Housing has
premium lifestyle at affordable cost like gated community with harith
varna, piped gas supply, solar water heater, solar street lighting ,
landscaped parks, playgrounds and Club Houses etc., It will also have
shopping complex, multiplexes, Amphitheatre, School, Parking, Bank, ATM,
Post Office etc.
The Housing also has pre-painted windows with fly proof mesh, main door
with teak frame and rubber wood shutter and others with plywood shutters,
kitchen with granite top with steel sink and bathroom fittings of Jaguar
make etc. The Chief Minister was informed that the Rajiv Swagruha Housing
project in GHMC area at Chandanagar is completed, at Gajularamaram,
Bahadurpally and Jawaharnagar the work is in full swing, at Pocharam it
will be completed by Sept. 2010 and at Bandlaguda, it will be completed by
August, 2010. He was informed that at other places like Kakinada,
Narasaraopet, Vetapalem, Nellore, Mahbunnagar, Nalgonda, Karimnagar,
Kamareddy and Rajampet etc. the work in different stages. The eligibility
criteria is also simplified and new applications can be filed online. Fast
and Cost Effective Technology is being used for construction and the
Corporation will go in for aggressive marketing strategy and customer
incentives etc.
Minister for Housing C. Silpa Mohan Reddy, Principal Secretary, Housing, M
Samuel, MD, Rajiv Swagruha Corporation, Shalini Mishra, Secretary,
Finance, Sekhar Babu and other officials attended the meeting.
