Southern Command wins Army Inter Command Volleyball Championship

Hyderabad|India|July'2009: Southern Command defeated Central Command 25-16, 25-20, 25-17 in the well contested final match of the Army Inter Command Volleyball Championship held at Eagle indoor Volleyball stadium, 1EME Centre in Secunderabad Cantonment on 8th July.Central Command team declared runners-up.
In all six teams participated in the three-day Championship. Whereas Western Command came third with 09 points South West Command 4th with 06 points. Eastern Command and Northern Command were placed 5th and 6th, respectively.

Lt. General IJ Singh, Commandant, Military College of Electronics and Mechanical Engineering (MCEME) was the chief guest at the closing ceremony and distributed the prizes to the winners.

Earlier, Brigadier Bibhuti Bhushan, Commandant, 1EME Centre inaugurated the Championship on 06 July 2009.
