CM pats Tejaswini for
winning honours in Lanka Chess tournament

Hyderabad|India|January'2011: Being sportsman himself, the Chief
Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy said he would give top priority to
Sports and Games in the State. He said Andhra Pradesh produced many
great sports personalities and there are plenty of hidden talent
among our youth and should be nurtured, promoted and encouraged to
come to National and International standards.
He said the State Government will take up promotion of sports in a
big way in the days to come and would encourage talented children
and youth in the field.
The Chief Minister said this when the upcoming chess champion S
Tejaswini met him on the occasion of her winning honours at the
Second Ethugalpura Chess Challenge 2010--International Rating Open
Chess Championship held at in Sri Lanka in December 2010. The
Championship was organised by the Knights Flame Chess Club of
Kurunnegala with the approval of The Chess Federation of Sri Lanka.
The Chief Minister congratulated Tejaswini, a student of MGIT,
Hyderabad for winning the International Championship honours and
said she did pride not only for the State but for the Nation as
well. He wished Tejaswini many more laurels in the days to come. He
wished that she will win many more international chess tournaments.
Chairman, Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Technology (MGIT), Vastusilpi
and former MP, Mr. B N Reddy, Secretary and Correspondent, MGIT, Mr
D. Kamalakar and Principal, Mr G. Chandra Mohan were also present.
