Chief Minister congratulates Civil services toppers in AP

Hyderabad|India|May'2010: "Well done, Boys and Girls. You have flown the flag of Andhra Pradesh still higher in the realm of quality education by your sterling performances in the All India Civil Service examinations". The Chief Minister Dr.K.Rosaiah was talking to few toppers of the Civil Services Examinations who met him at Secretariat and thanked him for all the Government support. The Chief Minister said the path-breaking initiatives like fee reimbursements and promotion of English medium education in rural cenres paid good dividends in the civil services examinations for All India services.

Dr.Rosaiah congratulated boys and girls from Andhra Pradesh who bagged top ranks in the results for the civil services of All India services which were announced on Thursday. The Chief Minister said the initiatives of the government to promoting quality education in rural areas like coaching classes for civil services , tuition fee reimbursement had encouraged students from rural areas to participate in the civil services examinations in large numbers. "Only when the students from rural areas emerge successful in civil services they will understand the problems of rural areas like, pensions, drinking water, pensions, ration cards, housing, sanitation and personal hygiene ‘ he said. He congratulated the state topper Dr Bharat Gupta hailing from Gutti town of Anantpur district and second topper Kartikeya Goel. ‘I am glad to know that bright girls like Jyotsna and Bharati (Prodattur, Kadapa) have also become achievers. Bharati had been topper among women in the state with 59th rank and was already a probationer trainee of the IPS'.

The Chief Minister congratulated Chegireddy Sudhir Kumar reddy, hailing from Narasaraopeta of Guntur district who had bagged the 167 rank and Kolasani Venkatasubbaiah Chowdhary of the same district had who bagged the 268 rank. Interacting with the officials of the education department after the declaration of the results of the Civil Services examinations the Chief Minister said. ‘I am very happy that our boys and girls have achieved prominent ranks in the first 100 and large number of ranks in the first 200 ranks’, he said. The Chief Minister directed the officials to regularly monitor the implementation of programs like coaching classes for civil services, tuition fee reimbursements, computer training classes, English medium teaching in rural areas and the functioning of social welfare hostels , residential schools to ensure that the children in rural areas got best of education and facilities for their personal and all-round development.
