Electoral facilitation centre Inauguration at Uppal

Hyderabad|India|May'2010: Dr I.V. Subba Rao, CEO, has inaugurated the Electoral facilitation centre at Uppal here today, as a part of special campaign for two weeks from May 28 to June 12th.

Such electoral facilitation centers of about 500 would be set at all 150 wards @ at least 3 per ward. Volunteers in these centers would supply the required electoral forms to the citizens concerned he said.

The CEO appealed to the citizens to avail of the opportunity of registering their names in the electoral list during the special campaign.

Out of 2.85 electors in the Uppal constituency, over one lakh citizens are yet to enroll themselves and get their EPICS, and as such it was decided to launch the programme at Uppal, said the CEO.

At facilitating centers the volunteers would give prescribed forms to the citizens and provide acknowledgement with bar code facility which would help track the application status, he said.

Besides these centers, Drop Boxes of over 2500 are also placed at all important shopping malls, Post offices, government offices, in GHMC jurisdiction.
