Wahyt Merchantile Pvt Ltd ties up with Well & Able International Pte Ltd

To Introduce Green Building Systems Concepts and Technology to the Indian Market

Hyderabad|India|February'2011: Wahyt Merchantile Pvt. Ltd., a subsdiary of Hyderabad-based Dhaatri Group inked a pact with Well & Able International Pte Limited, China and Singapore to distribute products exclusively pan India. Wahyt Merchantile Pvt. Ltd. will be the Exclusive Channel partners for Indian subcontinent operations for adopting Green Building Systems Concepts said Mr. S. Venkateswar Reddy, CEO - Wahyt Merchantile Pvt Ltd here at Hyderabad today. Speaking on the occasion, Mr. S. Venkateswar Reddy said that the long term partnership will bring green and eco concepts to the Indian market.

Addressing the media Mr. Raymond Wong, CEO – Well & Able International Pte. Limited said that this Partnership is built on having strong Indian partners with expertise in construction and project management. This will ensure that his company’s concepts and technologies will be excellently implemented building on their success internationally.

Over the last couple of years Well & Able have been studying the Indian market with a view to bringing these concepts and technologies over here said Mr. Raymond Wong. Factors such as Fast emerging cities, focus on infrastructure, drive to introduce green and eco friendly products and construction methods, need for sustainable buildings with low maintenance requirements, the vast array of terrains, climates and other regional factors combines with their ability to manage demand with “need it now” basis made the Indian market particularly suitable for Well & Able’s innovative products and methods, Mr. Raymond said.

Speaking further Mr. S. Venkateswar Reddy stated that India is the fastest growing market in the PEB (Pre Engineered Building) construction segment at 9.5%, ahead of China at 8.5%. The Industry size of Pre-Engineered buildings in India is $0.38 billion. Currently, 33% of the Indian Construction industry is based on PEBs, whereas the remaining 67% is Conventional construction.

Well & Able have for the past twenty years have been involved in not less than 250 major and mid- size projects, for design, fabrication, installation, construction of our system in the construction industries.

Our experience is in commercial and industrial buildings. Alongside this they are also involved as a leading company in affordable housing, school, apartments, medium / luxury residential projects in a number of countries, said Mr. Reddy.

Mr. S. Venkateswar Reddy further said that this partnership would bring opportunities to the Indian market with a unique benefit of increasing the capacity to handle projects thereby creating employment, housing stock and building infrastructure to meet the ever increasing local domestic demand.

Mr. Raymond Wong stated that he was committed to ensure that technologies that had been developed are shared at local level by technical support and knowledge transfer in the coming years.

Mr. Rakesh Dua, Financial Expert and Management Consultant from U.K. also spoke on the occasion. He said that Wahyt Merchantile will utilize Well & Able Pte Limited’s vast experience to deal with demanding projects in difficult terrains such as mountains, rural areas, small islands and extreme weather environments. He summarized both the companies commitment to creating more employment; training and education facilities to increase skilled workforce; and Arrange for Research and Development experts to develop/source local products for manufacturing and achieve a long-term aim for establishing manufacturing units within India. This Global Alliance will deliver solutions to India’s continued expansion whilst bringing direct and long-term social and economic benefits to the population, Mr. Dua said.
