Widex opens two new "Senso Hearing Centres"in
Hyderabad

Hyderabad|India|August'2010: Deafness, which refers to partial or
complete loss of hearing, is one of the most common congenital
disabilities in the world. As reported by World Health Organisation (WHO),
recently, there are about 250 to 300 million deaf people in the world, 2/3
of which live in underdeveloped countries, with India having the largest
share. One out of every twelve (1:12) persons in India suffers from
hearing loss.
With the Government of India giving due importance to the problem, the
Health Ministry has launched a project to focus on the prevention and
early diagnosis of deafness along with treatment of ear infections and
other diseases that cause hearing loss. In its contribution to combat

Dr. T V Krishna Rao, senior ENT Consultant, Hyderabad inaugurated Banjara Hills Senso Hearing Centre, Hyderabad. Padmashree Syed Kirmani,
Former Test Cricketer graced the inaugural function. Apart from various
renowned Doctors’ & Audiologists from Hyderabad, also present on the
