Foundation announces 1st batch of Teacher Training
Course in Traditional Yoga

Hyderabad|India|February'2011: Yoga Healing Foundation has nnounced
the first batch of Teacher Training Course (Beginners) in
Traditional Yoga (an ancient methodology with a scientific approach)
to become an Internationally Competitive Yoga Teacher.
Targeted at any aspirant or yoga teacher with strong determination,
the course includes theory and practice sessions on Asanas,
Pranayama, Breathing Techniques and Meditation. The classes will be
held at Railway Officers’ Colony Community Hall at Bhoiguda,
Secunderabad. The classes will be conducted under the auspices of
Mr. A.L.V. Kumar, an International Yoga Master who studied and
practiced Yoga in as many as 26 Northern and Southern Schools.
The Course Syllabus includes Introduction, External Yoga, Internal
Yoga, Yoga and other Alternative Sciences, Anatomy & Physiology and
Diet, Nutrition & Yoga.
The course will be of 200 hours with a minimum of 100 contact hours
with the teacher. The classes will be held from Monday to Friday
between 5.30am to 7.30am and 6 to 8pm. The special classes will be
held on Saturday and Sunday.
The course is accredited to ERYT (Experienced Registered Yoga
Teacher) 500 and RYT (Registered Yoga Teacher) 500 Certifications
from Yoga Alliance. Yoga Alliance is the national education and
support organization for yoga in the United States. It works in the
public interest to ensure that there is a thorough understanding of
the benefits of yoga, that the teachers of yoga value its history
and traditions and that the public can be confident of the quality
and consistency of instruction.
Since 1999, Yoga Alliance established a national Yoga Teachers'
Registry to recognize and promote teachers with training that meets
its minimum standards. Teachers who meet these standards are
eligible to register as Registered Yoga Teachers (RYTs). Yoga
Alliance also maintains a Registry of Yoga Schools to recognize yoga
teacher training programs that meet its 200-Hour and 500-Hour
standards.
On the successful completion of the Course, the practitioners shall
be able to reach a reasonable level of proficiency (in Asanas--Postures;
Pranayama; Breathing Techniques; Mudra Bandhanas-locking techniques)
with a clear understand of external and internal functioning of both
body and mind. They will be in a position to offer solutions or
therapies for common problems. It will help them to become an
Internationally Competitive Yoga Teacher.
Upon the completion of the course, they will be able to register
with Yoga Alliance, US for RYT 200 designation.
