YSR completes 5 years as Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh

Chief Minister Dr.Y.S.Rajasekhara Reddy is seen celebrating the successful completion of 5 years as Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh at his residence on 14-05-2009.

Hyderabad|India|May'2009: "Sir, our hearty congratulations. Well done Sir. You have created a record by successfully completing a full term of 5 years as Chief Minister in the State", Finance Minister K Rosaiah greeted the Chief Minister Dr Y S Rajasekhara Reddy on behalf of his cabinet colleagues and Officials, before the review meeting on drinking water supply, both urban and rural and also the Bholakpur incident. The Chief Secretary Mr. P. Ramakantha Reddy also greeted the Chief Minister on behalf of the State Government.

Mr Rosaiah who himself holds the record of being the longest serving Finance Minister of the State told the Chief Minister "Sir, you have not only successfully completed the five years term but during the term visualised and implemented many developmental and welfare schemes to help the commonman, poor, weaker sections and women. It was one of the best five years when so many giant projects were taken up and many of them completed. It was really great how you could find resources for implementing these ambitious projects". The Chief Secretary said the Chief Minister was very liberal in grounding so many welfare schemes for the people. Mr Rosaiah wished Dr Reddy five more years of successful Chief Ministership.

The Chief Minister thanked all the ministers and officials. He said "Thank you all very much. I convey my sincere gratitude to all my cabinet colleagues, officers and the entire government machinery who stood by me all these years. Without the help of the dynamic officers and ministers, we could not have achieved what all we have done. After all the delivery mechanism is all the more important. We have succeeded in the delivery mechanism of almost all the welfare schemes, thanks to the hard working officers and I thank all of them".

Ministers J C Diwakar Reddy, Mohd. Ali Shabbir, Adviser and MP, K V P Ramachandra Rao and Secretaries and Heads of Departments were also present.
