Telugu Domain Names starts operations

Telugu has become the first Indian language in which Internet domain name registration services will be available .People can now access, interact and do business on the web using the language.

The technology is fully compatible with the commonly used Internet browsers and fully inter-operational with the existing domain system. This facility is being provided by e-Namaskar.com in collaboration with Internationalized Domain Names System(i-DNS).The i-DNS technology currently supports 55
languages as diverse as Arabic,French,Thai and Spanish. It is capable of supporting over 200 different languages.

eNamaskar.com will be responsible for packaging, promoting and registration of Telugu domain names. The prefix and the suffixes for the domain would be in Telugu.The www is to be replaced by 'Vibhu'(Vishwabhumi),Telugu for World Wide Web.
