Hyderabad bags 'The Clean City' Award

Hyderabad has got a rare distiction of being awarded "Clean City' for the second consequitive year by the Housing and Urban Development  Corporation(HUDCO). In response to last years award this city had recently been  visited by Mr.Ronald Loveridge, the Mayor of Riverside(California, USA)  and on after seeing around the city he was full of praise for the city.(Click here for Reachout's report on his visit).Mayors and muncipal Commissioners from Mumbai,Bangalore, Nashik,Pune Chennai patna and New delhi have also visited  Hyderabad to study the work of the muncipal Corporation of Hyderabad. The Clean City Award for the year 1999-2000 will be presented by to Mr.P.K.Mohanty,Commissioner of the Muncipal corporation of Hyderabad later in New Delhi.                                                                           ( April 21st, 2000 )
