Naidu holds fruitful meet with Japanese Prime Minister

Chief Minister N.Chandrababu Naidu started his 5 day visit to the Far east by holding discussions with Japanese PM Yoshiro Mori.The Chief Minister Mr.N.Chandrababu Naidu soon after his arrival called on the Prime Minister of Japan Mr.Yoshiro Mori at the Prime Minister's official residence. Both the leaders held discussions on areas of mutual interest. Mr.Naidu discussed wide ranging issue with the Japanese Prime Minister like the possibility of Japanese investments in automobiles, information technology, electronics etc. Mr.Naidu said he was inspired by the hard work and dedicated attitude of the Japanese people and hailed their phenomenal development in the last 50 years.
Mr.Yoshiro Mori told the Chief Minister that although he wanted to come to Hyderabad and meet Mr.Naidu during his recent visit to India, he could not make it as he was preoccupied with busy engagements in Bangalore. Mr.Mori said as he was eager to meet Mr.Naidu and hold discussions with him, he decided to meet him soon after Mr.Naidu landed at the Tokyo Airport.
The Japanese Prime Minister appreciated the initiatives taken by Mr.Naidu in the field of Information Technology. He complimented the Chief Minister for the efforts made by him in many sectors for the all-round development of the State particularly in the field of Information Technology and also using IT for the benefit of the common man.
In a 30 minute meeting with Mr.Naidu, Mr.Mori hailed the many reforms and other innovative schemes launched in Andhra Pradesh for the benefit of common man. The Prime Minister said he heard much about Mr.Naidu and hailed him for his untiring and dedicated efforts to develop the State.
The Chief Minister Mr.Naidu invited Mr.Mori to visit Hyderabad and wanted Japan to open a Consulate office in Hyderabad. Mr.Naidu informed Mr.Mori that 23% of IT professionals working in United State are from India. Andhra Pradesh is at present a leader in producing software professionals, he added. Hence the hardware experts of Japan and software professionals of Andhra Pradesh could join hands in the promotion of Information Technology. Mr.Naidu said IT could be used in a big way for the benefit of common man.
Mr.Naidu said he was looking for fostering joint ventures between Japan and the Southern States of India particularly Andhra Pradesh. He said Japan and Andhra Pradesh could strive for combining tradition and technology in all walks of life.
Earlier Mr.Naidu was given a warm reception at the Narita Airport by the officials of the Indian Ambassy, leading businessmen and Industrialists from Japan.
The Chief Minister Mr.N.Chandrababu Naidu later attended a luncheon meeting with the President of the Democratic party Mr.Yukio Hatoyama. Both the leaders discussed areas of mutual interest and the development made by Andhra Pradesh in the last few years. Mr.Hatoyama complemented the Chief Minister for the initiatives he has taken to give a thrust to IT education in Andhra Pradesh. Mr.Hatoyama appreciated India's strength in software sector. Minister for Finance Mr.Y.Ramakrishnudu, Minister for Major Industries, Mr.K.Vidyadhara Rao, Mr.Susume Yanse, Mr.Masamito Naito, Democratic Party MPs, Mr.Takashi Shimada, Mr.Mofonisa Furukawa and Mr.Shinji Tarutoko, prominent members of the Democractic party were also present the meeting.
