             French Film Festival in City


                    The Alliance Francaise de Hyderabad is organising a festival of New French Cinema from August 21st to 30th.Presented in collaboration with the Hyderabad Film Club, this new panorama includes the recent French productions-11 films directed by film-makers aged between 30 and 40.The festival has two films by Leatitia Masson,that stands as witnesses to the feminisation of French cinema .

                    The films talk about everyday problems and dreams of another life taking place not only in Paris but also in the provinces, a new feature in French cinema. The films deal with a harsher and raw realism,phychological confrontations and problems such as unemployment, solitude and racism.

     The festival will be inaugurated by by Yves Charpentier,consul General de France, Mumbai.All the films carry sub-titles in English and are slated foe screening at the Sarathi studio,Ameerpet at 6.30 p.m. everyday.
