Green Business Center to come up in City

The Green Business Center, a joint venture between the Confederation of Indian Industry(CII) and the Andhra Pradesh government will be inaugurated during the Partnership Summit being held in Hyderabad from January 9 to 11.

The Business center, for which the Chief Minister N.Chandrababu Naidu has allotted five acres of land in Madhapur, would become operational in 18 months time.

CII is investing Rs.7.5 crores in the premier centre for showcasing latest technologies -non-polluting and energy conservation in industries.

The multinational companies like Ford and even United States Administration have shown interest in showcasing their technology in the centre.The centre would house offices, workshops areas and demonstration classrooms.

Early this year, CII had signed two MoUs: One, with the Green Institute, Minnesota, for promoting clean energy technologies and to develop environmental strategies: and two, with the American Wind Energy Association representing the Business Council of Sustainable Development.
