These eight will compete with another eight contestants who are already qualified in the first round of Semi-finals held at Vizag. All together 16 finalists compete in the finals. These 16 finalists will go through a seven day training program and will be groomed for the finals. One Winner and two runner ups and winners in five other categories will be picked up in the finals.

Haywards 5000 Mr. Andhra is a personality contest for Men. This is the first of its kind of event in Andhra Pradesh and had invited young talent to participate and contest for the coveted title. According to Mr. Dave Kvalsvig, Director Operations of South of Shaw Wallace Breweries, "This contest is a unique opportunity for young men to showcase their talent.

The Semi-finals were consisted of three rounds viz Physique & Communication, Fashion & Comprehension and I.Q. There was 3 different forms of entertainment that was part of the semi finals. Performances by Shiamak Davar’s Hyderabad based dance troupe, Mimicry Srinivas and Fusion by Nagaraju were the highlights of the evening, which was attended by over 250 invited guests.
