Pradesh inaugurated Snow World, The World’s
Biggest and India’s 1st Snow Theme Park on
Republic Day at Lower Tank Bund in city. Mr. Naidu,
accompanied by Mr. Sri Talasani Srinivasa Yadav,
Minister for Tourism & Culture, A.P; Sri P.
Chandra Shekhar, Minister for Law & Courts, A.P,
Sri Teegala Krishna Reddy, Mayor of Hyderabad; Smt.
Chandana Khan, unveiled a plaque to mark the
inaguration, cut the ribbon. Immediately after the
inauguration, he proceeded inside the Snow Theme
Park, wearing a protective clothing and spent few
moments there. Later he addressed the two thousand
plus invited guests assembled at the inaugural
function.
Speaking on the occasion, he said tourism is
playing a very important role world over. A place
like Snow World, help people to have unforgettable
thrills and fun in life. So that they can forget
their hardwork and go back fresh. Children too
will have exciting experience. Further he added
that countries like Singapore and Mauritius earn
lot of foreign exchange. Andhra Pradesh too has
lot of scope to develope tourism projects which
can attract foreign tourists. Nearly 2400 people
can visit Snow World a day he said. And
appreciated promoters for their efforts in putting
up Snow World.
With this inauguration, twin citians can chill out
at minus 5 degress celcius can go merry with SNOW
and have a SNOW-FILLED fun holiday unlike never
before, a la, holidaying in Switzerland. And all
these, barely at a fraction of cost of a trip to
your favourite holiday location in Switzerland.
Snow World the world’s biggest and India’s first
Snow Theme Park, being established by pioneers in
leisure industry in the state of Andhra Pradesh,
Ocean Park Multitech Ltd(OPML). Spread over 17,000
square feet area, on Lower Tank Bund Road, behind
Indira Park, it is yet another landmark place in
twin cities our Chief Minister has always dreamt
of. It is project set up in collaboration with
Tourism Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh
Ocean Park Multitech Ltd, promoter of India’s
popular and the third largest Amusement Park
‘Ocean Park", aims to create top Snow Theme Park
featuring (India’s first Snow Theme Park) with
many fun rides and games, Snow View Restaurant and
Indoor Go-Carting, 4-D Theatre. All these are
first of its kind of activities, never available
in India.
It is designed by famous architect Mr. Nitish Roy.
Plans are afoot for 4-D Theatre in future, which
is, yet another first in India and fifth in the
world. The Cryozone aims to create top Snow
leisure experiences. It will introduce snow fun to
kids and adults since places like Hyderabad, snow
is a rare and unusual commodity. Inside of the
snow playground themed with a 300-Degree mountain
horizon with snow and blue sky. The reflection of
lighting these mountains create a wonderful effect
on the snow area. Alpine huts, trees and animals
placed around the snow area complete the real
winter snow experience.
With consultancy from Unlimited Snow, a
Netherlands firm with a rich experience and
expertise of being consultants to world renowned
projects which include Winter Olympics, The Snow
Theme Park which is called Cryozone features Kids
Snow Play Area, Snow Wars, snow Tube Slide, Sleigh
Slide, Ice Bumping Cars, Merry Go Round, Ice
Skating and Ice Sculptures.
Aimed at all ages of holiday goers who include
kids, teenager, youth and adults, the facility is
planned in such a way that people of all ages and
abilities can play variety of snow games which
include Snow Slides with special snow tubes and
toboggans for kids. A special area will be created
for playing with snow and creating snowman or an
igloo. For the naughty there will be a snow ball
party with friends as targets. Highlight of all
the kiddy games will be Go carting with "Snow
Mobiles", which even adults will be screaming to
go!
All these snow wonders will be made possible by
artificially producing snow using state of the art
technology supplied by Woomera Snow Guns LTd.,
Australia. The snow thus produced almost match
with that found in nature and doesn’t contain any
harmful chemicals and substances. The Snow is
produced using Mineral Water Quality water is
harmless even if eaten. Special warm clothes,
gloves and waterproof shoes will be provided to
all the customers to protect them from extreme
cold climate inside. A steaming hot soup will be
served to all the visitors to acclimatize to the
environment.
This ambitious project is being set up at an
estimated cost of Rs. 12 Crores. The entry is
priced at Rs 250/- for adults and Rs 200/- for
children for one hour. It will be open to general
public from tomorrow from 9am to 9pm. People will
be allowed in batches of one hour. Maximum of
three hundred people are allowed in every batch.
