Hyderabad,India.October,
2008: Hyderabad
International Convention Centre (HICC), India’s best convention
facility, recently won the prestigious National Tourism Award for
the year 2006-07 in the category, ‘Best Convention Centre’ and is
truly living up
to it.
The state of
the art Hyderabad International Convention
Centre along with the country’s first
Greenfield international airport, have
together carved a niche for Hyderabad as a
events destination. While Hyderabad is more
than 400 years old, it is at the forefront of
the resurgence of India’s economic engine and
highlights the new Indian growth driven by
knowledge and education. Hyderabad is a
perfect example of the harmony of old and new
which defines modern India. The city has also
been identified as one among the top
20 cities
of sustainable future according to a world
study initiated by the influential New
York-based Ethisphere Institute evaluating
cities on their efforts to improve
sustainability including public transport,
local economy, environment, health, education,
