ING showcases the F1 car in Hyderabad

~The car is under displayed at IMAX, Khairatabad for public from 16^th - 19^th October 2008~

Hyderabad,India.October, 2008: As part of a major marketing initiative, ING Vysya Life and ING Vysya Bank together unveiled the original F1 car, R27, which had raced in the Grand Prix event in 2007. The car is on a 5-City tour that started from Saturday, 13th September 2008 and has traveled through Gurgaon, Lucknow and Bangalore.

The ING F1 car is under display to the public at Prasad’s I MAX from today, 16th-19th October. ING is the global sponsor of the Renault Formula 1 team.

Speaking on the initiative, Amit Gupta, Director – Marketing and Communications, ING Vysya Life said, “Globally, ING has a hugely successful association with the Formula 1 Renault team. The 5-city F1 tour is to showcase the global ING brand to our customers and the general public. We are looking at generating business leads from this activity.”

Sonalee Panda, Product and Marketing Head, ING Vysya Bank, commenting on the display said “The original F1 Car display across the country is a step by ING, to take the F1 sports to everyone. F1 is the fastest growing sport worldwide. In India we have close to seven million F1 fans. Based on the F1 sport, the bank has already launched the Formula Savings Account, that brings together speed, thrill of F1 and convenience of banking – all packed into one, for the new age customers.”

The car is being displayed for customers starting 11 am to 9 pm., at IMAX these three days. The Public and Customers will have the opportunity to participate in several on-the-spot exciting games and win F1 merchandise. They will also have an opportunity to get their pictures clicked and being sent to their address.

This is the first time in India that ING is undertaking the F1 car tour across the country. After Hyderabad, the car will go to Kolkata for its final pit stop.
