HITEX : India's most modern
exhibition centre starts in City |
Hyderabad, January ,2003:
HITEX is the newest and state-of-the-art venue for international exhibitions,
conferences, trade shows and corporate events in India. HITEX unfolds tremendous
opportunities for international Players to converge at this dynamic destination
and explore newer dimensions, establish partnerships and venture to take
business to greater heights.

HITEX is located strategically at the most happening part in the city of
Hyderabad, at Madhapur (near HITEC City), the emerging business and technology
hub.
HITEX is India's most modern exhibition centre, set to open up exciting
opportunities in the global arena. This magnificent facility spread over nearly
100 acres will be the star attraction of Hyderabad, a city that is already a
sought after destination.
The Centre is designed to enhance functionality and flexibility in providing
state-of-the-art infrastructure for organizers of international exhibitions,
conventions, trade shows and corporate events.
Conceptualized by leading German architects, HITEX is conceived to provide
world-class infrastructure to international exhibitors and serve as a one-stop
resource, providing the right setting for exhibitions, trade shows and corporate
events.
The HITEX entrance plaza has registration booths, ticket counters and
information kiosks for hassle-free entry of a large turnout of visitors and for
able administration.
HITEX houses a large array of infrastructure and services that comprise:
*3 air-cooled exhibition halls each of 3500 sq. m (37,660 sq. ft) area. HITEX
envisages adding 5 more halls of 3500 sq.m in future.
* An open display area spread over 32,825 sq. m (353,197 sq. ft) will supplement
the indoor display area and facilitate showcasing of large machinery and
equipment in the open ambience.
* Trade Fair Office building consists of meeting rooms, organizer's office, VIP
lounge, media centre and space to house services including business centre,
travel and forex, courier, clearing and forwarding, bank ATMs, car rentals etc
and also house permanent offices of international exhibition organizers and
exhibition service providers
*open car park that can accommodate over 900 cars
The Indoor Display (Exhibition Halls)
Each of the large air-cooled halls of 3500 sq. m (37,660 sq. ft) is a
column-free structure located at the ground level. These halls also allow for
further division and partition to accommodate smaller shows. While the more than
10.5 m high ceiling will permit high fascia and facilitate easier stall
erection, the heavy-duty flooring has good loading capacity of 50KN/Sq.m. that
will withstand display and demonstration of heavy machinery.
The halls will be self-sufficient with amenities such as power, water,
telecommunications, compressed air and rest rooms including separate ones for
the physically challenged. The wide service area along these halls will aid
quick and easy movement of exhibits and equipment in and out of the halls.
HITEX also provides adequate space for storage, within the exhibition halls.
HITEX aims to be a one-stop service provider to organizers, exhibitors and
visitors alike. The trade fair office building extends various key facilities
for the conduct of large shows that match global standards.
Hitex is promoted and managed by Hyderabad International Trade Expositions
Limited (HITEX). Promoters of HITEX are lead players in the Indian corporate
world and specialists in infrastructure provision and town planning such as L&T
Infocity Limited,National Academy of Construction (NAC),
Hyderabad Urban Development Authority (HUDA), Andhra Pradesh Tourism Development
Corporation (APTDC) and Municipal Corporation of Hyderabad (MCH).
